BAASC-006: 5 DAYS MAASAI MARA & THE LAKES
A safari (budget / adventure camping) to the
world famous Bird Sanctuary of Lake Nakuru, then South over the
Mau Escarpment to Kenya's greatest concentration of game - the
Maasai Mara- Kenya's most popular game park, with the possibility
of seeing all the big five and many other species of game. This
is where the great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to behold
for any would be visitor to Kenya mainly in July and August of
each year
Day 1 -Nairobi/ Nakuru
Depart Nairobi in the morning stopping enroute to view the spectacular
Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National park. Lunch, followed
by an afternoon game drive in the Park. Here, one has an opportunity
to see up to two million flamingos besides tens of thousands of
other birds if lucky. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also
harbors lions, warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippo and many
other animals. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 2- Nakuru/Maasai Mara
After breakfast depart for Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch,
followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight
at campsite.
Day 3 & 4- Maasai Mara
Full day spent exploring the Maasai Mara, packed with elephant,
zebra, rhino, lion and all kinds of game throughout the year,
with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti Mainly
in July and August. Meals and overnight at campsite.
Day 5 - Maasai Mara/ Nairobi
Early morning game drive and after breakfast, depart for Nairobi
arriving late afternoon.

BAASC-007: 5 DAYS AMBOSELI/TSAVO WEST
A safari to see some of the
best game parks in Kenya and to see the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro,
Africa’s highest mountain.
Day 1 –
Nairobi/Amboseli
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to Amboseli via Namanga
on the Tanzania border to reach late in the afternoon, view game
as you drive to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 –
Amboseli
Day spent exploring this park with the magnificent snow capped
Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. The waters from melted snow
drain down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli
plains, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains.
Here elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal,
zebra and the Maasai giraffe are likely to be seen. Dinner and
overnight at the campsite.
Day 3 –Amboseli/Tsavo
West
After breakfast, we head for Tsavo West National Park, visit the
Mzima Springs, which are favourite, haunts of both the hippo and
crocodile that can be seen from an underwater observation chamber.
Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 4 –Tsavo
West
The day spent exploring the park including the nature trails.
Day 5 –
Tsavo West – Nairobi
Early morning game drive and soon after breakfast, we proceed
to Nairobi arriving early in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel.

BAASC8: 6- DAYS RIFT VALLEY LAKES/ MARA
Visit to the world famous bird
sanctuaries of Lake Baringo, Bogoria and Nakuru, then south over
the Mau Escarpment to the Kenya’s greatest concentration
of game-the 7th Wonder – Maasai Mara
Day 1- Lake
Baringo
Depart Nairobi in the morning stopping enroute to view the spectacular
Great Rift Valley to the freshwater Lake Baringo, with lunch enroute.
Here, there is the option of taking a boat trip to search for
hippo and crocodile and view the abundant birdlife around the
lake shore. Dinner and overnight at a campsite.
Day 2 - Lake
Baringo/Nakuru via Lake Bogoria
A short drive (30km) south to Lake Bogoria, a shallow soda lake
set amidst beautiful scenery. Like the other Kenyan soda lakes,
it has no outlet and the intense evaporation leads to high levels
of salt and minerals, which flamingos love and from a distance
the surface of the water appears bright pink. Next to the lake
are steaming hot springs and geysers, but don't be tempted to
put your hands into the water if you are at all fond of your skin!
Continue south to Lake Nakuru National Park, another shallow soda
lake famous for its birdlife, and the park is also home to lion,
many rhino and if you're very lucky you may spot a leopard in
an Acacia tree. Overnight at a campsite
Day 3 - Maasai
Mara
We head south to Narok, Lunch enroute then proceed to Maasai Mara
– view game as you proceed to the campsite for dinner and
overnight.
Day 4 and
5 - Maasai Mara
From our campsite, we explore the mighty Masai Mara on game drives
and there is plenty of opportunity to search for the Big 5. You'll
soon see why the Mara has such an excellent reputation for diverse
scenery and abundant wildlife. The park has the largest population
of well-fed lion in Kenya, and some of the biggest crocs in Africa
are found in the Mara River - all thanks to the constant supply
of ready-made meals in the way of hundreds of thousands of grazing
animals.
Day 6- Maasai
Mara/ Nairobi
Morning game drive then return to the campsite for breakfast .We
drive back through the Masai town of Narok and stop for some souvenir
shopping, before continuing across the plains to Nairobi where
the safari ends.

BAASC9: 7 DAYS SWEETWATERS/RIFT VALLEY LAKES/
MARA
A drive to the rich agricultural
slopes of Mt. Kenya and then a visit to the world famous bird

Day 1 –
Nairobi/Sweetwaters
Depart Nairobi in the morning and proceed to Mt Kenya region.
Afternoon game drive at Sweetwaters game ranch to see the wildlife
including chimps. This private ranch is the only sanctuary for
rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused primates with two
groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat
as possible. It is something interesting to see besides rhino,
lion and other attractions. Overnight at Mountain Rock campsite.
Day 2- Lake
Baringo

BAASC-10: 8 DAYS SAMBURU/LAKES/MARA
The Big 5, stunning Great Rift Valley lakes,
and the scenic scrubland of Samburu - this safari gives a great
insight into Kenya's diverse landscapes.
Day 1 -Samburu Game Reserve
From Nairobi, pass the majestic Mt. Kenya en route to the open
savannah of Samburu Game Reserve. We camp in the narrow stretch
of palms and woodland by the Ewaso Nyiro River which provides
water for the animals and some relief from the equatorial sun.
Day 2 -Samburu Game Reserve
Enjoy a full day of game viewing along the river banks and surrounding
scrublands with time out from the midday sun for a refreshing
swim at Buffalo Springs. This is a particularly good place to
spot elephant and antelope.
Day 3- Lake Baringo, Great
Rift Valley
Leaving Samburu, cross the Lerochi Plateau and descend to the
floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Baringo by early
afternoon. This fresh water lake supports an abundance of birdlife
alongside hippos and crocodiles that languish on the lake shore.
Day 4 -Lake Bogoria, Lake
Nakuru
At the nearby Lake Bogoria visit an area of bubbling hot springs
and steaming geysers, and admire the pink swathes of flamingos
on the soda lake. Then at Lake Nakuru National Park enjoy an afternoon
game drive, where we literally trip over the many rhino in the
park, and if lucky might see a pride of lion languishing in the
shade, or leopard in the Acacia trees.
Day 5 -Maasai Mara
We head south to Narok, Lunch enroute then proceed to Maasai Mara
-game is viewed as we proceed to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 & 7 - Maasai Mara
Travel south through the beautiful savannahs and plains of the
Rift Valley and reach our base camp site, where we enjoy another
evening out bush under the far-reaching African sky. Spend the
next day on game drives exploring the Masai Mara. The open grasslands
are home to incredibly rich and varied wildlife and the awesome,
annual migration of millions of wildebeest and antelope is the
highlight of any visit to Africa from July to September.
Day 8- Maasai Mara/Nairobi
Heading north to Narok, we stop to browse in the bustling, vibrant
Masai markets to buy curios and handicrafts before continuing
to Nairobi where our safari ends.

Elephants abound; you may see lion, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk,
grevy’s zebra and Oryx. Dinner and overnight at a campsite.
Day 5 -Samburu
