NAIROBI
CITY TOUR EXCURSION
The tour covers the modern city center, the colorful
market, Parliament, the Railway Museum and the renowned National Museum where
there are spellbinding displays of nearly man, tribal regalia and flora and fauna
of Kenya, A visit to the adjacent snake park is also included: The tour returns
to the city center in time for lunch.
NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
The
unique wildlife sanctuary is just a few kilometers from Nairobi's bustling city
center but despite its proximity over 50 species of mammals can be found there,
including four of the Big Five. The tour also includes a visit to the animal orphanage
at the park gate. The tour returns to the city center by sundown. (4 hours )
BOMAS
OF KENYA – 3 HRS
You will be treated to a rich traditional music
and dance show at this cultural center. Bomas of Kenya is only ten kilometers
from the city center.
Carnivore

of cuisine. We recommend a dinner or lunch at the Carnivore, which is famous for
the succulent stew and barbecue dishes of game meat as an excellent compliment
to a holiday in Kenya; especially as an excellent welcome, or farewell dinner.
Karen Blixen and Giraffe Center:
Drive towards the Ngong Hills
and pass the Ngong village to the Karen Blixen Museum, for many years, her home.
Later proceed to the Giraffe Center to see and feed the famous Rothschild Giraffe
and her family.
Tana River Rafting - 1 Day
One day trip ideal
for people with a day or two to spare when visiting Nairobi, or those basing themselves
in the capital (only 100km’s along the Nyeri Rd). An exciting day of thrills
(and often spills) with a great mix of high action whitewater (up to grade V)
interspersed with scenic calm water where birdlife abounds.
Rift
Valley /Lake Nakuru - Full Day
Enjoy the view of the Great Rift Valley
from the escarpments and then descend to the Lake Nakuru National Park. A game
drive to view thousands of flamingo and other bird species in addition to viewing
the white and black Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo and Waterbuck among others. Lunch
is served at either Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge.
LOST
PARADISE - 1 DAY
Leave Nairobi and drive to the largest picnic site in
Kenya, the grounds here cover 54 acres. This is the home of the Stone Age caves
and trees thought to be hundreds of years old while the river reeds have stories
to tell of centuries past and people long dead, which lead to a waterfall about
10m long which feeds a dammed river flowing past the picnic site. Activities include
feeding the Maasai ostriches, bird watching touring the coffee plantation, horse
and camel riding, boat riding and fishing for black bass.
CHIMPANZEE
SANCTAUARY TOUR - 1 DAY
Depart Nairobi and drive north past pleasant countryside
with coffee and tea plantations. Stop at Karatina town, then taking picnic lunches
with you, proceed to Sweet Waters Game Reserve. The Chimpanzee Sanctuary here
is home to more than 26 orphaned chimpanzee age varying from 2 to 15 years most
of which came from the Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi. The latest addition
is Baby zee, rescued from a pet shop in the United Arab Emirates. Return to Nairobi
in the evening.
